What this recall covers

NHTSA's campaign record, quoted as published

The defect

Braun Corporation (Braun) is recalling certain 2026 Chevrolet Traverse vehicles. The fuel fill line may be missing a braze connection, allowing fuel to leak.

The risk

A fuel leak increases the risk of fire.

The remedy

Dealers will replace the fuel fill assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning August 3, 2026. Owners may contact Braun's customer service at 1-800-488-0359.

A safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.
