The defect
Newell Coach Corp. (Newell) is recalling certain 2025-2027 P50 coaches. The steer axle air spring base may crack.
The risk
A cracked base may result in a loss of air pressure and suspension support, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the air springs as necessary and add a support plate to the base, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 3, 2026. Owners may contact Newell customer service at 1-888-363-9355.
A safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.
