THEURER CAMPAIGN NO 1.TRAILER W/TANDEM AND/OR SINGLE AXLE.MANUFACTURED 1-11960 THRU 7-31 1962.POSSIBILITY THAT INDUCTION HARDENING PROCESS IN EFFECT ATNORTH AMERICAN ROCKWELL'S AXLE PLANT MAY HAVE CREATED HIGH RESIDUAL STRESSES ATINNER BEARING SHOULDER AREA.STRESSES MAY TURN INTO PHYSICAL CRACKS UNDEREXTENDED FIELD SERVICE.CONTINUED USE OF AXLE AFTER CRACKING MAY CAUSE AXLESPINDLE TO FRACTURE.(CORRECT BY INSPECTING AND REPLACING WITHNEW AXLE.)
