FORD CAMPAIGN NO 148.HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS.POSSIBILITY THAT THE TANDEM REARHOUSING WALL THICKNESS AT THE JOURNAL RADIUS ADJACENT TO THE SPINDLE FRICTIONWELD JOINT MAY NOT BE SUFFICIENT TO INSURE A FATIGUE LIFE EQUIVALENT TO THEEXPECTED MILEAGE LIFE OF THE VEHICLE.HOUSING FAILURE CAN RESULT IN THE DUALWHEEL ASSEMBLY BECOMING DISENGAGED FROM VEHICLE, RESULTING IN A HAZARD TO OTHERTRAFFIC.(CORRECT BY INSPECTING AND REPLACING WITH HOUSING OF AN INCREASEDWALL THICKNESS DESIGN).NOTE THIS COMPAIGN HAS BEEN SUPERCEDED BY CAMPAIGN NO.75-0149.DATED 07/30/75.
