The defect
THE HOSES ON THE INVOLVED VEHICLES MAY NOT HAVE BEEN PROPERLY INSTALLED. AS A RESULT, AIR LEAKAGE COULD OCCUR. THIS CONSTITUTES A NON-COMPLIANCE TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 106, "BRAKE HOSES". COMPLETE FAILURE WILL HOWEVER, ACTUATE THE TRACTOR PROTECTION VALVE AND THE TRAILER PARKING BRAKES WILL BE APPLIED AUTOMATICALLY.
The remedy
THE DEALER WILL INSPECT AND, IF NECESSARY, REPLACE THE HOSE ASSEMBLY, FREE OF CHARGE.
