The defect
THE INVOLVED VEHICLES DO NOT CONFORM TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 217, "BUS WINDOW RETENTION AND RELEASE". THE VEHICLES ARE LACKING WINDOW RETENTION CLIPS.
The remedy
DEALER WILL INSTALL WINDOW RETENTION CLIPS, AT NO CHARGE TO OWNER.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: BUSES.SYSTEM: VISUAL; WINDOW RETENTION CLIPS.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: LACK OF RETENTION CLIPS MAY ALLOW THE WINDOW TO COMEOUT OF ITS CAVITY WITH ANY SUDDEN JOLT, POSSIBLY CAUSING PERSONAL INJURY ORPASSENGER EJECTION FROM THE VEHICLE.
