The defect
ON THE INVOLVED VEHICLES, LENSES WERE INSTALLED IN AN INVERTED POSITION. THIS FAILS TO COMPLY TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT".
The remedy
DEALER WILL REPLACE BOTH THE LEFT AND RIGHT TAIL LIGHT LENSES ON ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES, FREE OF CHARGE.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES.SYSTEM: LIGHTING AND COMMUNICATIONS; TAIL LIGHTS.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: IMPROPERLY INSTALLED REFLECTORS WILL RESULT IN REDUCEDVISIBILITY WHICH WOULD INCREASE THE POSSIBILITY OF A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.
