The defect
ON THE INVOLVED VEHICLES THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT, IF INVOLVED IN A COLLISION, THE RIDER COULD IMPACT THE HINGED FUEL FILLER CAP IN SUCH A MANNER AS TO ACTUATE THE RELEASE LEVER AND OPEN THE CAP. THIS WOULD RESULT IN A GASOLINE LEAK.
The remedy
DEALER WILL REPLACE THE ORIGINAL FUEL FILLER CAP LATCH WITH A LOCKING DEVICE, WITHOUT CHARGE.
