The defect
THE SYMBOL IDENTIFYING THE LIGHT SWITCH ON THE INVOLVED VEHICLES DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 101, "CONTROL AND DISPLAYS".
The remedy
OWNER WILL BE SENT THE CORRECT SYMBOL FOR SELF INSTALLATION OR INSTALLATION BY THE DEALER.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES.SYSTEM: ELECTRICAL; HEADLAMP SWITCH.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: USE OF THE EUROPEAN SYMBOL INSTEAD OF THE CORRECTAMERICAN VERSION MAY BE CONFUSING TO THE DRIVER. THIS WOULD CREATE A SAFETYHAZARD.
