The defect
VEHICLES DO NOT CONFORM TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 301, "FUEL SYSTEM INTEGRITY". THE FUEL HOSES CONNECTING THE DUAL GAS TANKS MAY FAIL DUE TO ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS. THIS COULD CAUSE A GASOLINE LEAK BENEATH THE VEHICLE.
The remedy
DEALERS WILL REPLACE DEFECTIVE HOSES FREE OF CHARGE.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES.SYSTEM: FUEL; FUEL HOSES.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: THIS CONDITION WOULD PRESENT A FIRE HAZARD WHICH COULDLEAD TO VEHICLE DAMAGE AND PERSONAL INJURY TO PASSENGERS.NOTE: DRIVER IS ADVISED TO CHECK BENEATH THE VEHICLE FOR LEAKING FUEL.
