The defect
CERTAIN INTERIOR BODY PANEL JOINTS FAIL TO MEET THE 60 PERCENT JOINT STRENGTH AS REQUIRED BY FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 221, "SCHOOL BUS BODY JOINT STRENGTH".
The remedy
DEALER WILL INSPECT THE BODY PANEL JOINTS AND LOCALLY REINFORCE THEM WITH MECHANICAL FASTENERS.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: SCHOOL BUSES.SYSTEM: STRUCTURE; INTERIOR BODY PANEL JOINTS.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT, THE SCHOOL BUS COULDEXPERIENCE A STRUCTURAL COLLAPSE AND THE CHANCES OF PASSENGER INJURY WOULD BEINCREASED.
