The defect
CERTAIN VEHICLES MAY FAIL TO CONFORM TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 301, "FUEL SYSTEM INTEGRITY". IN THE EVENT OF A COLLISION FROM THE REAR, THE FUEL FILLER TUBE MAY BE CUT BY CONTACTING THE FRAME REAR CROSSMEMBER.
The remedy
THE DEALER WILL INSTALL A PROTECTIVE SLEEVE OVER THE EXISTING FUEL FILLER TUBE AT NO COST TO OWNER.
