The defect
ON CERTAIN VEHICLES, THE WIRING HARNESS FOR THE AIR CONDITIONER MAY PROVIDE POWER TO THE IGNITION CIRCUIT WHILE THE KEY IS IN THE OFF POSITION.
The remedy
THE DEALER WILL MODIFY THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WIRING AT THE FUSE PANEL AND INSTALL A CIRCUIT BREAKER TO PROTECT THE MODIFIED CIRCUIT.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AIR CONDITIONING.SYSTEM: AIR CONDITIONING; WIRING HARNESS.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: THE ENGINE WILL CONTINUE TO RUN AFTER THE IGNITION KEYIS TURNED OFF, CREATING AN UNSAFE SITUATION WHICH COULD RESULT IN UNEXPECTEDVEHICLE MOVEMENT AND AN ACCIDENT.
