The defect
TIRE LABELS WRITTEN IN FRENCH WERE INADVERTENTLY AFFIXED TO VEHICLES IN U.S.. THIS FAILS TO CONFORM TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 110, " TIRE SELECTION AND RIMS".
The remedy
THE DEALER WILL CORRECT THE INVOLVED VEHICLES PRIOR TO THEIR FIRST RETAIL SALE BY INSTALLING THE CORRECT LABELS.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES.SYSTEM: EQUIPMENT; CERTIFICATION LABELS (TIRES).CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: OMISSION OF A TIRE LABEL WRITTEN IN ENGLISH COULDRESULT IN THE SELECTION OF INCORRECT TIRE AND RIM REPLACEMENT PARTS. THIS WOULDCREATE AN UNSAFE DRIVING CONDITION WHICH COULD LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT.
