The defect

THE INVOLVED VEHICLES DO NOT CONFORM TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 111, "REARVIEW MIRRORS", AND NO. 119, "NEW PNEUMATIC TIRES FOR VEHICLES OTHER THAN PASSENGER CARS". THE REARVIEW MIRROR IS UNDERSIZED, TIRES ARE NOT LABELED AS REQUIRED, AND CONSUMER INFORMATION WAS NOT PROVIDED WITH THE VEHICLE.

The remedy

INADEQUATE MIRROR AND TIRES WILL REPLACED AND CONSUMER INFORMATION PROVIDED WITHOUT CHARGE TO OWNER.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MOPEDS.SYSTEM: VISUAL SYSTEMS; REARVIEW MIRROR, EQUIPMENT; CERTIFICATION LABELS.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: AN UNDERSIZED REARVIEW MIRROR WOULD REDUCE DRIVER REARVISIBILITY AND INCORRECT LABELING MAY LEAD TO IMPROPER LOADS BEING PUT ONTIRES. EITHER SITUATION COULD CONTRIBUTE TO AN ACCIDENT.
