The defect

THE SAWCUT SHOULD RUN ONLY HALFWAY THROUGH THE DRAGLINK SECTION. INSTEAD, IT RUNS THROUGH THE ENTIRE SECTION CAUSING INSUFFICIENT CLAMPING FORCE ON THE STEERING BALL SOCKET.

The remedy

UPON INSPECTION, DEFECTIVE DRAGLINKS WILL BE REPLACED WITHOUT CHARGE TO OWNERS.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: LOW ENTRY TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH CENTURION STEERINGDRAGLINK.SYSTEM: STEERING; DRAGLINK.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: DURING CONTINUED OPERATION, THE DRAGLINK CAN SEPARATEFROM THE BALL SOCKET, CAUSING A LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL AND POSSIBLY, ANACCIDENT.
