The defect

THE INVOLVED VEHICLES DO NOT CONFORM TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT". ALSO, POTENTIAL OVERLOADING OF THE VEHICLE MAY OCCUR DUE TO INADEQUATE AXLE SPRINGS WHICH WOULD NOT PROPERLY EQUIP THE VEHICLE FOR HIGHWAY DRIVING.

The remedy

DEALER WILL INSPECT AND PROVIDE THE PROPER CERTIFICATION LABELS AND UPGRADE THE AXLE SPRINGS AT NO COST TO OWNER. REAR LIGHTING AND REFLECTORS WILL BE CHECKED AND CORRECTED, IF NECESSARY.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: TRUCKS AND TRAILERS.SYSTEM: EQUIPMENT; CERTIFICATION LABELS.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: INADEQUATE REAR LIGHTING WOULD PRESENT A SAFETY HAZARDAND COULD LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT. ALSO, IF VEHICLE IS OVERLOADED, AXLE SPRINGFAILURE COULD CAUSE LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL AND AN ACCIDENT.
