The defect

THE POWER BRAKE BOOSTER MAY HAVE BEEN IMPROPERLY MACHINED CAUSING STRESS AND POSSIBLY CRACKS IN THE MASTER CYLINDER WHERE IT IS ATTACHED TO THE POWER BRAKE BOOSTER.

The remedy

COMPONENTS WILL BE INSPECTED FOR IMPROPER MACHINING AND, IF FOUND, MASTER CYLINDER AND POWER BRAKE BOOSTER WILL BE REPLACED.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES WITH POWER BRAKE BOOSTERS.SYSTEM: BRAKES.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: THE STRESS AND CRACKS COULD CAUSE MISALIGNMENT OF THEPOWER BOOSTER AND MASTER CYLINDER AND POSSIBLE REDUCTION IN BRAKING ABILITY ORLOSS OF BRAKES. AN ACCIDENT COULD OCCUR IF REDUCED BRAKING ABILITY IS NOTCORRECTED.
