The defect
SOME HOOD LATCH ASSEMBLIES MAY HAVE BEEN IMPROPERLY REPAIRED AT THE FACTORY, OR INCORRECT FASTENERS WERE USED. HOOD LATCH ATTACHMENT WILL NOT BE STRONG ENOUGH AND WILL LIKELY WEAKEN THE INNER HOOD PANEL.
The remedy
INSPECT VEHICLES AND, IF INCORRECTLY ASSEMBLED OR REPAIRED, THE HOOD, INCLUDING THE LATCH, WILL BE REPLACED.
