The defect
OIL PRESSURE GAUGE SENDING UNIT, LOCATED ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE ENGINE, MAY LEAK OIL. ENGINE PARTS COULD BE DAMAGED DUE TO RESULTING LACK OF LUBRICATION.
The remedy
UPON INSPECTION, A MODIFIED OIL PRESSURE GAUGE SENDING UNIT WILL BE INSTALLED IF NECESSARY.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH ANALOG OIL GAUGES.SYSTEM: ENGINE; OIL PRESSURE GAUGE SENDING UNIT.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: IF THE ENGINE HAS BEEN RUNNING FOR AWHILE AND IS VERYHOT, LEAKING OIL COULD CAUSE AN ENGINE FIRE, RESULTING IN POSSIBLE INJURY TOVEHICLE PASSENGERS.
