The defect
SOME OF THE DUAL WHEEL ASSEMBLIES WERE PROVIDED WITH FORD WHEEL CENTERS WHICH DO NOT SEAT PROPERLY ON TOYOTA BRAKE DRUMS. THIS IS DUE TO A MACHINE SCREW WHICH PROTRUDES FROM THE DRUM. THE MISMATING OF WHEELS WITH BRAKE DRUMS CAN CAUSE STRESS CRACKING AROUND THE MOUNTING LUGS.
The remedy
VEHICLES WILL BE REPAIRED AT NO COST TO OWNER.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MULTIPURPOSE PASSENGER VEHICLES; MOTOR HOMES EQUIPPED WITHCUSTOM AND COMMERICIAL DUAL REAR WHEELS AND BUILT ON TOYOTA CHASSIS.SYSTEM: SUSPENSION; REAR WHEELS.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: IF LEFT UNCORRECTED THIS CONDITION COULD RESULT INWHEEL FAILURE, A LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL, AND AN ACCIDENT.
