The defect

AXLES WERE INADEQUATELY HEAT TREATED. CONSEQUENCE OF DEFECT: UNDER ORDINARY USE, AXLES MAY BEND, WHICH MAY CAUSE SEPARATION OF THE WHEEL ASSEMBLY FROM THE AXLE OR THE VEHICLE. THIS COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT.

The remedy

VEHICLES SHOULD NOT BE OPERATED UNTIL AXLES HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH NEW ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATION AXLES.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: TRAVEL TRAILERS AND FIFTH WHEELS WITH AXLES OF 3,300 TO4,500 POUND GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT RATING. SYSTEM: AXLES.
