The defect
CHANGE IN VENDOR'S PRODUCTION TOOLING RESULTED IN A FIT BETWEEN THE RADIATOR CAP AND FILLER NECK WHICH MAY BE TOO LOOSE. CONSEQUENCE OF DEFECT: THE LOOSE FIT COULD ALLOW THE CAP TO BE REMOVED BEFORE INTERNAL PRESSURE IS COMPLETELY RELEASED. HOT RADIATOR COOLANT MIGHT THEN BE SPRAYED ON THE PERSON OPENING THE CAP OR OTHERS IN THE VICINITY.
The remedy
THE DEFECTIVE FILLER NECK ASSEMBLY WILL BE REPLACED TO CORRECT THIS MALFUNCTION.

A safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.
