The defect
THE FOAM USED IN SEAT BACKS DOES NOT MEET THE KNEE IMPACT TEST REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS 222. CONSEQUENCE OF DEFECT: SEAT BACK FAILURE COULD RESULT IN INJURY TO THE OCCUPANT IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH.
The remedy
REPLACE SEAT BACK FOAM ASSEMBLY AND, IF NECESSARY, CORRECT THE SEAT FRAME TUBE REINFORCEMENT.
