The defect
TRUCKS MAY HAVE BEEN EQUIPPED WITH INCORRECT REAR INNER WHEEL BEARINGS WHICH COULD DAMAGE THE BEARING AXLE SPINDLE.
The risk
PREMATURE FAILURE OF SPINDLE MAY OCCUR, WHICH COULDRESULT IN WHEEL AND TIRE SEPARATION FROM THE VEHICLE; STEERING CONTROL MAY BELOST AND A CRASH COULD RESULT.
The remedy
REPLACE REAR BEARINGS AND AXLE SPINDLE AS NECESSARY.
