The defect
ORIGINAL SPECIFIED REAR BRAKE DRUMS ARE INADEQUATE IN STRENGTH FOR BRAKE LOADS BEING IMPOSED ON THESE DRUMS.
The risk
THIS INCREASED DUTY CYCLE HAS CAUSED PREMATURE COMPONENTFAILURE OF THE BRAKE DRUMS DUE TO CRACKING AND BREAKING. THIS COULD RESULT INA RISK TO TRAFFIC SAFETY.
The remedy
REPLACEMENT OF REAR BRAKE DRUMS, REAR SPRING BRAKE CHAMBERS AND THE FRONT SERVICE CHAMBERS.
