The defect

UNDER HEAVY DEMAND ON THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION, THE TRANSMISSION COOLER LINE TEMPERATURE CAN EXCEED THE TEMPERATURE RATING OF BOTH THE PLASTIC CONDUIT AND INSULATION FOR THE BATTERY CABLE.

The risk

A DIRECT SHORT COULD OCCUR BETWEEN THE UNPROTECTEDBATTERY CABLE WIRE AND METAL TRANSMISSION COOLER LINE CREATING THE POSSIBILITYOF AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE.

The remedy

REMOVE THE BATTERY CABLE FROM THE TRANSMISSION LINE AND REFASTEN IT TO ANOTHER SECURE LOCATION.
