The defect
FUEL TANK LOCATED TOO CLOSE TO DRIVE SHAFT, SO THAT UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS, THE TANKS MATING FLANGE MAY BE STRUCK BY THE UNIVERSAL JOINT ON DRIVE SHAFT.
The risk
CONTACT OF THE UNIVERSAL JOINT WITH THE FUEL TANK COULDEVENTUALLY CAUSE TANK TO LEAK FUEL, WHICH MIGHT BECOME A FIRE HAZARD.
The remedy
REPLACE WITH NEWLY DESIGNED TANK TO PRECLUDE INTERFERENCE WITH UNIVERSAL JOINT OF THE DRIVE SHAFT.
