The defect
POWER STEERING PUMPS MAY HAVE A RIDGE INSIDE THE ALUMINUM HOUSING WHICH COULD DETACH ITSELF FROM THE HOUSING AND BECOME WEDGED INSIDE THE RELIEF VALVE, KEEPING IT OPEN.
The risk
THIS COULD RESULT IN SUDDEN LOSS OF ASSISTANCE TO THESTEERING WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR AN ACCIDENT.
The remedy
REPLACE POWER STEERING PUMP.
