The defect

CLOSE PROXIMITY OF CERTAIN HOSES TO HIGH HEAT EMITTED FROM THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER WOULD CAUSE THE HOSE TO DETERIORATE.

The risk

THIS COULD RESULT IN A SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER, CREATINGTHE POSSIBILITY OF A REAR END CRASH.

The remedy

INSTALL A HEAT SHIELD OVER THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER TO PROTECT THE HOSES FROM HEAT DETERIORATION.
