The defect
THE PATIO AWNING IS INADEQUATELY ATTACHED TO MOTORHOME AND IT COULD BEGIN TO UNRAVEL FROM THE REAR CAUSING A SHEARING OF THE FRONT LOCK. ONCE THE LOCK IS FREE, THE ENTIRE AWNING CAN BE EXPOSED TO WIND PRESSURE AND BE TORN FROM THE SIDE OF THE MOTORHOME WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION.
The risk
THE TORN AWNING MAY SEPARATE FROM THE MOTORHOME WHILE THEVEHICLE IS IN MOTION, CAUSING A HIGHWAY HAZARD WHICH COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLEACCIDENT.
The remedy
A RETROFIT KIT WILL BE INSTALLED ON THE MOTORHOMES.
