The defect

ENGINE WIRING HARNESS MAY COME IN CONTACT WITH THE ALTERNATOR HOUSING. WITH NORMAL ENGINE MOVEMENT OVER A PERIOD OF TIME, THE ALTERNATOR HOUSING COULD WEAR THROUGH THE WIRE INSULATION OF THE HARNESS.

The risk

THIS COULD CAUSE A SHORT CIRCUIT WHICH WOULD AFFECTENGINE OPERATION BY CUTTING OFF FUEL DELIVERY AND WHICH COULD RESULT IN ANELECTRICAL FIRE.

The remedy

INSPECT AND REPAIR ENGINE WIRING HARNESS.
