The defect
WIRING OF THE TELL-TALE MODULE, LOCATED IN THE REAR GATE UNLOCK-UNLATCH MECHANISM, CAUSES THE REAR BRAKES TO BE APPLIED AND THE REAR GATE TO UNLATCH WHEN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL PUSH-TO-TEST LIGHT IS PRESSED.
The risk
WHEN THE REAR BRAKES ARE APPLIED UNEXPECTEDLY WITH THEVEHICLE IN MOTION, STANDING PASSENGERS IN THE BUS ARE EXPOSED TO INCREASE RISKOF INJURY BECAUSE OF THE SUDDEN STOP.
The remedy
INSTALL THE REDESIGNED TELL-TALE MODULE.
