The defect
CONTACT MAY OCCUR BETWEEN THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND A HUCK BOLT COLLAR WHICH CAUSES A GEAR WITHIN THE MOTOR TO FRACTURE RESULTING IN COMPLETE FAILURE OF THE WINDSHIELD WIPER SYSTEM.
The risk
FAILURE OF THE WINDSHIELD WIPER SYSTEM REDUCES THE OPERATOR'S ROAD VISION IN INCLEMENT WEATHER AND COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.
The remedy
DEALERS WILL REMOVE AND REPLACE THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND REMOVE THE HUCK BOLT AND REPLACE IT WITH A PULL-TYPE RIVET.
