The defect
THE BATTERY USED TO POWER THESE VEHICLES CAN FAIL IN A MANNER WHICH RESULTS IN FIRE.
The risk
VEHICLE FIRES CAN RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY TO PERSONS NEAR THE VEHICLE.
The remedy
FORD HAS SUSPENDED USE OF THESE VEHICLES WHILE A DESIGN CHANGE IS ENACTED TO COUNTERACT PROBLEMS ARISING FROM LONG USE.
