The defect

WHEN THE FURNACE AND COOKTOP ARE OPERATING AT THE SAME TIME, THE FURNACE AIR-CIRCULATING FAN CAN PULL THE COOKTOP BURNER FLAME DOWN INTO THE ALUMINUM BURNER, CAUSING THE BURNER TO MELT.

THIS CONDITION CAN CAUSE A FIRE.

The remedy

DEALERS WILL INSTALL AN ENCLOSURE UNDER THE COOKTOP TO CORRECT THE AIR FLOW PROBLEM.
