The defect

THE LOW BRAKE FLUID LEVEL WARNING LAMP DOES NOT ILLUMINATE DURING THE IGNITION ON, BULB TEST PERIOD.

The risk

THE INTENDED PURPOSE OF THE TEST IS TO PROVIDE THE OWNER WITH A PERIODIC CHECK OF THE LOW BRAKE FLUID LEVEL WARNING LAMP.

The remedy

DEALERS WILL MODIFY THE INSTRUMENT PACK WIRING.

OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN MARCH 4, 1997. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT ASTON MARTIN AT 1-888-88ASTON.ALSO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION'S AUTO SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1-800-424-9393.
