The defect
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: 45' COMPOSITE PLATFORM TRAILERS HAVING A GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT RATING GREATER THAN 35,000 POUNDS. THE TOP AND/OR BOTTOM FLANGES OF THE TRAILER'S MAIN BEAMS DO NOT MEET MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS.
The risk
THE FLANGES COULD BREAK, INCREASING THE RISK OF A VEHICLE CRASH OR LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE TRAILER.
The remedy
DEALERS WILL REPAIR THESE TRAILERS.

OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN ON NOVEMBER 18, 1997.ALL TRAILERS HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM SERVICE AND ARE AT DEALERS HAVING REPAIR REMEDY PERFORMED.NO FURTHER ACTION IS REQUIRED ON THIS RECALL CAMPAIGN.
