The defect
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: DUMP TRAILERS. THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM IS NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY.
The risk
THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM WILL NOT FUNCTION CORRECTLY, CAUSING DIMINISHED BRAKING EFFORTS.
The remedy
DEALERS WILL INSPECT THESE VEHICLES AND REPAIR AS NECESSARY.

OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN DECEMBER 12, 1998. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT EAST MANUFACTURING AT 1-330-325-9921.ALSO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION'S AUTO SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1-888-DASH-2-DOT (1-888-327-4236).
