The defect

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MOTORCYCLES BUILT WITH 19" FRONT WHEELS. THE FRONT INNER TUBE LOCATED IN THE FRONT WHEEL ASSEMBLY CAN DEFORM CAUSING LOSS OF AIR PRESSURE.

The risk

LOSS OF AIR PRESSURE IN THE FRONT TIRE COULD CAUSE LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE MOTORCYCLE.

The remedy

DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE FRONT WHEEL ON THESE MOTORCYCLES.

OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN FEBRUARY 1, 1999.OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT TRIUMPH AT 1-678-854-2010.ALSO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION'S AUTO SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1-888-DASH-2-DOT (1-888-327-4236).
