The defect
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: 3-WHEELED ON-ROAD VEHICLES. THESE VEHICLES DO NOT COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 122, "MOTORCYCLE BRAKE SYSTEMS."
The risk
THE STOPPING DISTANCE ON THESE VEHICLES MAY BE INCREASED.
The remedy
DEALERS WILL INSTALL A WHEEL CYLINDER AND BRAKE PEDAL EXTENDER KIT ON THESE VEHICLES.

OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN APRIL 20, 1999.OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT TEXTRON AT 1-402-474-8568.ALSO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION'S AUTO SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1-888-DASH-2-DOT (1-888-327-4236).
