TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1999 REXHALL AMERICAN CLIPPER. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN OCTOBER OF 2007 FOR THE VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL. THE SPEED CONTROL WAS NOT DISCONNECTED DUE TO THE DRIVING DISTANCE TO THE DEALER; HOWEVER, THE DEALER ADVISED THE CONTACT TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY UNTIL THE PARTS BECOME AVAILABLE. THE DEALER DID NOT KNOW WHEN THE PARTS WOULD ARRIVE TO PERFORM THE COMPLETE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT FEELS THAT THE WAIT TIME IS TOO LENGTHY. THERE HAD BEEN NO FAILURE TO DATE. THE RECALL NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 18,000. UPDATED 4/16/08 *CN
