The defect: THE FUSE IN THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER CIRCUIT MAY BLOW DUE TO THE AMPERAGE LOAD EXCEEDING FUSE CAPACITY.
The risk: REAR STOP LAMPS, EXCEPT THE HIGH MOUNTED STOP LAMP, WOULD FAIL. THERE MAY NOT BE SUFFICIENT STOP SIGNAL WARNING TO THE FOLLOWING TRAFFIC WHICH MAY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.
The remedy: INSTALL AN ADDITIONAL FUSED CIRCUIT TO HANDLE THE MAIN STOP LAMPS.
