DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY, THE STABILIZER BAR BOLTS BROKE ALLOWING THE FRONT END OF THE STABILIZER BAR TO DROP TO THE GROUND. THE CONTACT INSPECTED UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE AND TIED UP THE STABILIZER BAR TO KEEP IT FROM DRAGGING. THE VEHICLE WAS SEEN BY AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP AND THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE STABILIZER BAR BOLTS. THE CONSUMER BELIEVED A SAFETY CABLE SHOULD BE INSTALLED FROM THE FRAME TO THE END OF THE SWAY BAR TO PREVENT THE ENDS FROM FALLING TO THE PAVEMENT IN CASE OF FAILURE. UPDATED 05/16/06. *JB
