Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component
Data refreshed
What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2007 Scion Xb, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.
Reports by component
Ranked by how many owner reports name each component category
- Airbags133.3%
- Driver assistance133.3%
- Visibility133.3%
Percentages are of component mentions. A single complaint can name more than one component, so these do not sum to the total complaint count.

TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SCION XB. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V340000 (AIR BAGS) AND STATED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME FRAME TO SCHEDULE THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER (LARRY H. MILLER TOYOTA PEORIA, 8633 W BELL RD, PEORIA, AZ 85382, (866) 748-4281) DID NOT GIVE A SPECIFIC DATE FOR WHEN THE PART WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE. From owner reports, verbatim
I PARKED MY 20069 SCION XB IN MY GARAGE FOR A FEW HOURS. WHEN I RETURNED THERE WAS A CRACK STARTING AT THE TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD AND WENT HALF WAY DOWN. THERE WAS NO WAY SOMEONE HAD BEEN IN THERE AND THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD HAVE HIT MY WINDOW. I TOOK IT TO THE TOYOTA DEALER WHERE I BOUGHT IT THEY SAID IT WAS FROM AN IMPACT. I THEN TOOK IT TO A FEW OF THE LOCAL GLASS REPAIR COMPANIES. THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS A STRESS CRACK AND THE DEALERSHIP REFUSES TO FIX IT. *TR
