What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2000 Skyline Layton, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 SKYLINE LAYTON. THE VEHICLE HAS A DOMETIC REFRIGERATOR, MODEL RM2652. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE REFRIGERATOR AND HAD IT REPAIRED AT THE DEALER. THE REFRIGERATOR STOPPED WORKING. THE CONTACT RETURNED TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT REPAIR THE UNIT AGAIN BECAUSE IT WAS NOT THEIR FAULT THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT CALLED DOMETIC, BUT DID NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. UPDATED 3/16/09 *CN
