What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2003 Skyline Rampage, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.
Reports by component
Ranked by how many owner reports name each component category
- Body & structure133.3%

DT:2003 SKYLINE RAMPAGE TRAVEL TRAILER. THE FLOOR WAS MAKING A NOISE. CONSUMER THOUGHT THAT THE FLOOR WAS NOT GLUED PROPERLY. CALLED DEALER, AND THEY STATED IT WAS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. THE REAR AXLE WAS PUT INTO THE WRONG SPOT, AND THEY WERE MISSING ABOUT 16 OUT RIGGERS. THIS CAUSED WALLS TO BOW TOWARD THE OUTSIDE OF THE TRAILER. THE DOORS DIDN'T SHUT CORRECTLY. THERE WAS A GAPE AROUND THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR, THE CEILING COULD FALL INTO THE MAIN AREA. THE TONGUE THAT WAS HOOKED ON THE FRONT WAS HAVING A PROBLEM. CONSUMER CALLED THE MANUFACTURER, AND THEY SAID TO TOW VEHICLE TO DEALER WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED ,AND THE MANUFACTURER WOULD THEN PICK IT UP. BUT THE DEALER NO LONGER DID BUSINESS WITH THIS MANUFACTURER. THEN THEY WANTED CONSUMER TO TAKE VEHICLE FROM NORTH IDAHO TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AT CONSUMER'S EXPENSE AND RESPONSIBILITY. *AK

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
