2008 Skyline Rampage Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

I HAVE OWNED MY TOYHAULER SINCE DECEMBER 2008. IN APRIL 2015 I NOTICED SEVERAL LARGE BREAKS IN THE MAIN I-BEAMS OF THE FRAME OF THE TRAILER. THERE ARE HOLES IN THE FRAME CAUSED BY THE FRAME CRACKING. THE CRACKS APPEAR TO HAVE BEGAN SOME TIME AGO AS THERE IS RUST DEVELOPING IN THE CRACKS. THE CRACKS ARE LOCATED IN THE CENTRAL SECTION OF THE MAIN I-BEAMS OF FRAME WHERE THE CROSS BRACES ARE WELDED TO THE MAIN PART OF THE FRAME. THE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF THE FRAME IN SEVERELY COMPROMISED AS A RESULT OF THE POOR ENGINEERING AND FABRICATION. PLEASE CONTACT ME AND I CAN PROVIDE PHOTOGRAPHS.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
