THE SEATBELT LATCHPLATES (TONGUES) AND SOME SEATBELT WEBBING ON ALL SIX SEATS RIDE ON THE ABDOMENS OF MANY ADULT OCCUPANTS. THIS MAY BE BECAUSE THE OVERALL LENGTH OF THE (FEMALE) BUCKLE STALK IS 15.5 INCHES. THE SEATBELT LATCHPLATE RIDES 3 INCHES FROM THE FRONT VERTICAL CENTERLINE, WITH THE TOP OF THE LATCHPLATE 4 INCHES ABOVE THE TOP OF THE THIGH, ALMOST AT THE LOWER RIB MARGIN, ON A 5 FOOT 11 INCH TALL 175 POUND MALE, CAUSING DISCOMFORT AND POTENTIAL FOR INJURY. IN THE CASE OF A 5'11" TALL MALE WEIGHING 174 POUNDS, THE SEATBELT LATCHPLATE RIDES 3 INCHES FROM THE FRONT VERTICAL CENTERLINE, WITH THE TOP OF THE LATCHPLATE 4 INCHES ABOVE THE THIGH, ALMOST AT THE LOWER RIB MARGIN.
