2007 Spartan K224360-025 Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

JULY 2007 WE PURCHASED A NEW REXHALL ROSEAIR RV FROM THEIR DEALER. THIS RV WAS COMING OFF THE MANUFACTURE LINE. WE WERE NOT ADVISED THAT REXHALL WAS USING SEVEN YEAR CHASSIS THAT HAD BEEN OUT IN THE CALIF. DESERT UNPROTECTED. AFTER RECEIPT OF THE RV WE FOUND OUT THAT THE ENTIRE WIRING HARNESS WAS CRACKED, BRITTLE AND COPPER ON COPPER. WE CAME VERY CLOSE TO HAVING A FIRE IN THIS VEHICLE. I HAVE SINCE LEARNED THAT BILL REX, CEO OF REXHALL PUT APPROXIMATELY 5-10 RV'S SIMILAR TO THIS OUT ON THE ROAD AS NEW. I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE STARTER, ALTERNATOR, THE CHASSIS A/C, THE AIR BAG SENSOR, TIRES, AND THE POWER STEERING HOSE. WHEN THE AIR BAG SENSOR BLEW I BEGAN HAVING STEERING PROBLEMS ON HWY 101, IN WHICH CAME CLOSE TO LOSING TOTAL CONTROL. THIS RV IS AND WAS A MAJOR HIGHWAY SAFETY PROBLEM. I SPENT $178,000 FOR THIS RV AND WHEN I FILED A CALIF. LEMON LAWSUIT AGAINST REXHALL THEY CONVENIENTLY FILED A CHAPTER 11 BK. BILL REX WILL NOT TAKE THIS RV BACK AND RETURN MY MONEY, THE ONLY THING HE DID WAS REPLACE THE WIRING HARNESS. THE TIRES WERE CRACKED FROM THE YEARS IN THE DESERT AND OVER ALL I HAVE SPENT $1200 FOR TWO NEW TIRES AND MY EXTENDED WARRANTY AND VEHICLE INSURANCE HAS COVERED MORE THAN $45,000. REXHALL RV MANUFACTURING NEEDS TO BE SHUTDOWN AND SEVERELY FINED FOR PLACING THE WELFARE OF THE US PUBLIC AT RISK. UPDATED 08/15/11 *BF UPDATED 09/27/11 *BF *TR UPDATED 2/21/12 *CN
